Pause Overlay Controls (1 Viewer)

Hi All

I'm tinkering with a skin mod and am getting stuck finding the controls for the movie title and movie description when paused and fast forwarding etc.

Can somebody let me know what files these are in.

Which skin? Do you mean when you are in fullscreen video?

I'm not sure if this is true in ALL skins, but in most the Title and Desc are in VideoOSD.xml or TVOSD.xml (tvZAPOSD.xml when you are changing channels). However, if wish to change anything other than the Title or Description, take a note of the file(s) imported at the top of the Video/TVOSD.xml - usually common.play.osd.xml, as well as the define codes that usually determine the display of the background and progress bar.

Ok last questions when you make changes to the positioning of controls in the XML files what do you have to do before they take effect?, i.e. close MP, switch skin, or just stop and start the video?

Depends on the xml, sometimes just exiting and reentering the window works, sometimes you have to restart MP. With the osd xmls, some of the controls will change if you just press the pause key again. I think the Title and Description should take effect, can't remember. Usually you have to reenter the main xml for the window for common files (like the controls in the common.play.osd.xml) to take effect and also define codes. If anything is loaded in memory by the define codes, you probably have to restart MP. If you change a graphic, you have to recache and restart MP for it to take effect. Trial and error sounds easier! The safest bet is to restart MP. There is also a refresh plugin that works in most cases.
