OK, I have two problems. I don´t know if someone have it too.

first, the remote doesn´t work wihtout HIP. Is it right?? I´m doing some tests and I´m not sure HIP runs automaticaly when windows start up. The program estarts, but I don´t know if it runs.

second, I have to unplug and plug again the usb receiver to work it, if I don´t do it, the leds doesn´t shine.

If unplug and plug again, and run manually HIP, I works perfectly.

the one ive got does not have blacklight. it cost me 15euros with receiver so i think its a good price.

if price does not go over 20e i would have bought it with blacklight but they dont receive it here.

btw, it works with win7 + irss

seems strange but couldnt find in any specialist shops or electronic shops but could find it here

p.d im not 100% sure about the 15e, but it was definately under 20euros

Hi Guys

I have used mp for quite a while now, but first yesterday bought a philips srm5100.

It does actually works, but i have a few questions regarding how much it works.

It seems to me that there is a problem with the ir recciver starting up correctly, i have tried ehome drivers, modified ehome drivers posted in here and many other places out on the interweb, however, it just doesent want to work.

Right now my setup is as follows.

philips srm5100 receiver, win xp, ehome driver (from previus post here), HIP and then ofcourse mediaportal.

But it just doesent want to start up properly, the irR needs to get a powercycle before win recognises it.

That was the first question, how do i get around that problem.

And secondly. When i tab the green button i would like to start mediaportal, but it starts my xbox360 instead of - quite odd if you ask me. So what do i do about that? (besides putting a piece of black tape over the irreciever of my box)?
