Uninstall the ehome receiver in device manager, unplug the receiver, now reboot and once windows is fully loaded, reinsert the usb receiver and let windows install again.
Think it's coincidence that it went at SP2 install, but who knows, its just the driver that corrupted, happens occasionally.
