I'm sorry to hear that it does not work for you, bebbetufs.
The only advice I can give you is to check that you have correct version of the mod to match MP, and that you don't have both the original (renamed) and the modded dll in the same directory without changing the extension to something else than 'dll' on the one not used. This could give some unexpected behavior.

Perhaps I will put in some debug prints in next release in the log so it will be possible to trace some events and se whats happening.

I also think it would be nice to be able to not only remove, but to replace certain words and characters.
This is most possible to do so I think I will do this to next update, perhaps this weekend or next week. :)

Thanks for your quick reply. I have triple checked both the double dll issue and that the version is correct. Still no go. I won't be able to do any more testing for a couple of days though, as my pc is collapsed at the moment. New hardware is on its way...

Thank you for implementing my suggestion, I'm looking forward to using your mod on my new system. :)

    MY APPOLOGIES...
to all that have had problems scanning folders with this mod in MP 1.0. (bebbetufs)

In the update for MP 1, I added more words to exclude form the searchstring fo IMDB by default, but with an oversight by me this also excluded folders containing the same strings to not be scanned.
This includes everyone that have foldernames containing strings like dvdrip xvid p720 and so on.

As a quick solution, just go into configuration for the MyModdedVideos process plugin and remove the strings for folders (except for "sample" perhaps) and keep them (or add more) for the searchstring to IMDB.

I will update this weekend to prevent any more misunderstandings and also add the little improvement suggested by bebbetufs.

    Have a nice weekend.

    Hi everybody.

New files for MyModdedVideos are now uploaded on Google Code.
Updated for MP 1.0 and new for svn21306.

Configuration is now reworked with a slightly changed layout and with more options, default buttons.
The mod itself has now a more improved parsing to detect keywords to remove, and also split a string to separate words.
That way the search string for "Some_Movie_720p" could be renamed to "Some Movie"
Yes, now it does, but I didn't do this as a user option to replace a specific character with another userdefined character. I just detect the single words and separate them with 'space'. I guess the goal is to get a nice string to search movie info with, so this should be enough.
Any other thoughts, be in touch, please.

    :D
    Enjoy, Solis

Excellent add-on. Next update you should have an option like:
ignore everything after *. (so you can choose to ignore everything after -*)

I'll give you an example, "bla.bla.bla.bla.bla.1998.NORDiC.PAL.DVDR-PROFiLE" this would be "bla bla bla bla bla 1998 profile", with that * it would be "bla bla bla bla bla 1998"

Would that be hard integrate in the add-on?

Your latest release works very well. Thank you.
Thanks bebbetufs. A little flatter can get you far sometimes;)

everlong, you mean that you want a userdefined char (not only *, I guess) and everything after that char in the searchstring should be stripped of.
If I understand you correctly that shouldn't be to hard to implement. Probably fix it when next svn is out (any day now, I guess).

Correct, a lot of folders look like this:

    bla.bla.2008.PAL.DVDr-PaTHe
    bla.bla.2006.MULTiSUBS.PROPER.PAL.DVDR-NORDiQ

So instead of write down all the group names in the "ignore" list, it would be easier to have an option to ignore everything from "-", so "bla.bla.2008.PAL.DVDr-PaTHe" would be "bla.bla.2008.PAL.DVDr" after that option been done.

Or maby it would be easier to ignore everything from the movie year? "bla.bla.2008.PAL.DVDr-PaTHe" would be "bla.bla."

    Good idea everlong!

Is this mod compatible with the StreamedMP skin (w.TV series & Moving Pictures plugins)? Or is it obsolete if you have those, maybe?

I don't organise my media in the way that you do, so I don't know whether MediaPortal provides the capability that you want. All that I can suggest is that you read this page in the MP Wiki and experiment to see if it will merge the separate folders to give you a unified view of the media. -- from CyberSimian in the UK
