Just wanted to say I think that the PureVision skin is the best one I've used.

after releasing PureVisionHD 2.5 with a lot of changes I am now preparing PureVision 4:3 version 2.5 for release at the end of this week (finally!).

it is probably not due to the Windows update. I ran a new transmitter scan and got the same result. MP no longer starts. Then I got the fuse back and everything works again. For the moment, I turned off the "Automatic channel logo update" in Settings (which somehow I had missed, I think because it wasn't an option previously), and the deleted everything in the Flat-default folder and populated it with my own logos.
