BTW: How do you restart the DVB-T card's BDA drivers ?

I use StartOnWake.exe to execute the commands in the StartOnWake.txt file each time the PC wakes up.
Maybe you could integrate something like this into PVR Scheduler :?
I'm using a similar script, because I need it for restarting the remote control tool of hauppauge. The hauppauge tool has also problems with hibernate.

How does the plugin handle reoccurring recordings. I set up a program to be recorded every week at the same time in MP. In PVRS it put in an entry, but when the program had finished recording, the entry was removed. Does this mean it doesn't handle reoccurring recordings ?

The reference rendering device was selected, but your
computer only has a reduced-functionality reference device
installed. Install the DirectX SDK to get the full
reference device

Hello,

I installed PVR Scheduler 1.1.2 with MP 0.1.1.1 and i have the same problem with startup. Is this a configuration problem or a bug?

pvr-scheduler 1.1.4b/ 1.1.5

Hello,
I have a few problems with pvr-scheduler 1.1.4b.
The biggest problem is that when pvr-s starts from hibernate mode, windows xp holds at the start screen. In the background everything is starting (I can hear that because I get sound of the tv-channel). When I click on the username it locks on that screen and the only thing I can do is to end the task media portal (Then windows xp start screen is going to the desktop view) and then i can restart mediaportal.
Second problem: Sometimes it seems that pvr-s is starting another instance of media portal while there is already one active.

Ps. I tried to use version 1.1.5 but when I restart xp then I get a failure message that it can’t start it’s pvr server. So now I downloaded one version earlier 1.1.4b.

HI,

I'm not sure, but I thought that I have fixed it in one of the last releases.
I made a new homepage. This has been the reason why I haven't worked on the PVR Scheduler for the last couple days.

You always get the latest releases there:

http://www.pvr-scheduler.de

The current release is 1.1.5

Just gave a new try to the latest version of PVR Scheduler (1.1.5 on MP 0.1.1.1). The results are a mixed bag:
I try to put my HTPC in standby manualy from the PVR Scheduler plugin while runing MP:
- if timeshifting is enabled, I get a flashing window with the countdown, the CPU goes to 100% (already reported this in a previous post) and when the countdown ends nothing happens. Requires a ctrl-alt-del to kill the media portal process.
- if timeshifting isn't enabled, the countdown window doesn't flash, the computer goes to standby properly. When restarting the computer, MP appears but the TV doesn't work anymore: when I click on TV ON, the button doesn't stay lit and the TV picture doesn't appear.

While in the PVR Scheduler plugin in MP, the TV doesn't show up in the bottom left windows which stays desperately black (with the timeshifting on or off, same result).
PVR Scheduler is configured in Automatic Mode (ON), Preferred standby Mode is Standby S1/S3, In EPG Settings, MP is checked so is Windows Task Planner (should be scheduler?) also Disable TV before standby and nothing else checked.

My hardware/soft:
Asus P4P800-VM, Celeron 2,4Ghz, 512MB
FX5200 with drivers 71.84.
PVR150 with latest drivers
XP SP2 Fro French

Hauppauge Plugin for MP.
PVR Scheduler is installed with the external control plugin.
Using VRM9 Renderless and Mpeg2Dec video filter for TV.
Always use timeshifting is not checked.

Here's the end of my MP log after pressing the standby button in the PVR Scheduler plugin:

You cannot enter standby as long as MP is running. You can do this, but then MP won't work any more. I really don't know what you can do about that.

The best way is really to close MP before Standby!

I'm also familiar with this timeshifting issue.
I try to stop Timeshifting like this:

MediaPortal.TV.Recording.Recorder.StopViewing()

MediaPortal.TV.Recording.Recorder.Stop()

But this seems not to work.

Please disable Autostart PVR Scheduler in the new 1.1.5
You should never get a message PVR Scheduler not running, when this is disable.

Please use the new pvr-scheduler.de board for further questions, because there are already members who have had the same issues.

I can put my HTPC in standby with MP running by pressing the power/off button on my remote (Shuttle Remote), and MP is fully functional after leaving standby so you should be able to do the same. All my remote does is to call the built in windows function to shutdown/standby/hibernate (depends what is set in the power options).
