can somebody tell me why FM radio doesn't work (with tve3)? it is a client or a server problem. I am under the impresion that is is broken and never fixed, or is it just me?

Same for me!

It scanned a lot of channels (some are crap, most of them are real channels), but i always get a client error "no sound found" or something

thats it, the channel scanning seems to work fine but wen I try to play one MP will hang and eventually come back, I think the error is "no video/audio detected". I can't make analogue TV work either but I have heard reports that others can. I have not seen anybody claim to have radio working.

Hi,
I know there is a Mantis report for analog radio & afaik it is not fixed yet.
When reporting bugs always check if it's in Mantis & if not include system specifications & logs

Thanks, but several things. I did lock in the mantas but only saw 7 issues, I only just realized (after reading your response) that I needed to change the project in the top. that is much more realistic, I were thinking that there were only 7 issues listed as open and thought that was totally unrealistic, the new list I see is much more like it.

As I need to change to the TV engine project to see them does that indicate it is a server problem or only that it applies to the client and server while running the TV engine. I were trying to figure out what source I would need to download to have a look at it. As I didn't think it was listed and it has been around for a long time with no progress I thought nobody was on it, but it appearers that Dman is assigned to it.

As it has been assigned I suppose I won't need to download it anyway and i didn't think logs were required at this stage as I were sure it had been mentioned before and I were just looking for what source to get, however if you want more logs I can get some but I think it is easily reproducible.

Hi,
Almost all work are done in normal MP without TVE3 to reach a final stage &this problem it's a TVE3/TVPlugin problem. So go ahead & give the source a chance & help out as best you can(all help are welcomed)
I know dman has allot to do so i dunno when he can look @ this @ all.........

Hi there

downloaded the latest svn (revision 17009) for both tve3 and mp today, and then I thought the analog fm was working again as I could start listening to some of my radio channels. I immediately went into the configuration to add all my radiochannels, and went back into mp just to discover that it wasn't working. Then I remembered I was watching tv when I tried the radio, and I tried to start radio with tv on and worked again!

So its only not working when radio has to create the a filter by itself or what? Does it reuse the one from tv? I have attached two logs one with radio started alone, and a log with radio started while tv is running.
Maybe this can shed some light onto what is going on, either way I'm now able to listen to radio again.

This is a very old bug.
Tried several times to put it on evidence but it seems that analog fm radio is not one of the most important things.
If it could be helpful analog radio doesn't work neither with MpTv Client/VLC.
So it should be a server problem.
Anyway, if I can help testing somehow, tell me.

have you tried turning on fm radio while tv is on? As I wrote earlier Im able to hear radio if I just start tv first. This gives me the impression that its not the server, but more a graph building problem in mp, but I don't really know for sure.
