    Thanks, ltfearme! :)

Tried that but no success! :( Moving Pictures scrolling continues stuttering.

Downgraded StreamedMP from 0.9 to 0.8 and now everything, including Moving Pictures, is smooth. :)

The only other thing I can think of is in MovingPictures.xml there is a line:

    Code:
    <import>movingpictures.mediainfo.xml</import>

You can remove this since MovingPictures v0.7 doesnt support MediaInfo anyway. This could be the reason for the slow down.

I noticed something odd about scrolling.. When video is playing scrolling text on the video OSD is slow which is better so we could read.. But when video is paused scrolling text vertically and horizontally is on turbo mode..

It is a minor thing but I wanted to point it out...

That's something the skin does not have control over, thats all MediaPortal.

    Hi, ltfearme. :)

Changed the MovingPictures.xml file as you told me and it improved a bit but it kept stuttering while scrolling through the movie posters. So I went back to StreamedMP v0.8 and everything's smooth. :)

Never a problem here in XP,VISTA and WIN7. Using combination's of 1280x720 or 1920x1080. Do you adjust the screen in anyway either from windows or mediaportal? I think that may be the problem, Im aware users are experiencing this issue but if I cant reproduce I cant fix.

I have a nvidia 8600GT, and I have that issue both in vista & win7, to which I upgraded today. Every time I play a video (be it from TVSeries, Moving pictures or basic MP video), the info overlay is messed up like ingram's (paused offscreen, remaining time doubled). Stopping playback leaves me with unaligned items throughout the skin, and returning to the homescreen has the same offset text, plus the RSS doesn't scroll anymore.
Hitting escape once more from the homescreen seems to "reload" it and fixes everything.

This only appears if I choose VMR9 as my video output. Using EVR I don't have that issue. But EVR is unusable, it's way too jittery compared to VMR9, VMR9 exclusive mode givin the best results.

Basically I think MP still has issues with textures like we saw some time before. I had made a patch for this, it went in at some point, then out because it might mess up the resume from standby, then maybe back in later ... I stopped following, I kept on using my own tweaked version. Though I still had the offscreen paused + double remaining time. It's quite weird.

Another test I did, using blue3wide and playing back a video from MP video plugin. Using EVR, no issues when stopping the video. Using VMR9 without exclusive mode, no apparent issues either. Using VMR9 with exclusive mode, the movie length in the movie list got offset to the right.

I'm wondering if it wouldn't be a video memory issue. The new transparent menu in the home screen is a fullscreen bitmap apparently. If many things have changed throughout the skin, could it be that it uses so much video that things get messed up?
Maybe blue3wide uses less textures and therefore is more resilient to these display bugs. Can you see if you get those skin problems with blue3wide ingram?

Using the latest SVN version of this skin - all my pretty backgrounds have disappeared (just a black background)
They are all as they were, in the correct directories etc. and the same .png files.
It seems to have happened when the "Fix BasicHome screen blanking out when mouse is moved" was added (rev 607)
    Any ideas?

As you say, definitely a problem using VMR9 in Vista/Win7. I had never noticed this since I only used VMR9 in WINXP and EVR with my Vista/Win7 machines.
If you want to try narrow it down to video memory try deleting some of the large textures, deleting cache and try to reproduce.

If this is the case we can try reduce the size of all the images where we can but at the end of the day the problem will occur and really needs another fix in MediaPortal.

Try delete your menu items and create them again. Could be some bugs in the editor in SVN which I have not full tested yet.

If you have problems with SVN builds, then use our Issue Tracker...this forum is only for official releases.
