I'm proud to suggest 2 very old titles from South Africa:

<rename id="tt0076061" title="Funny People I" />
<rename id="tt0085571" title="Funny People II" />

It will probably only ever be in my list, so it's fine if you don't put it in the global list.

The Eye (2002) - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0325655/
The Eye (2008) - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0406759

<rename id="tt0406759" title="The Eye (Remake)" />

I left all those out, because the "Add foreign title" option already fixes that by calling the 2002 version "The Eye (Gin gwai)". Now if you wish to call it "The Eye (Dubbed Asian)" or whatever you prefer, then you can use the custom rename XML to do so.

You have to send movies back to the importer to fix the artwork.

if you have foreign titles off you end up with them both being called "the eye"

Yes, and then you need to add custom entries to your XML file, or use one of the other tricks IMDb+ offers, such as adding "([tag])" to your filenames. I just did not feel like adding 1000's of foreign movie exemptions to the rename database when the "Add foreign title" solves the problem automatic. Let me know if you have troubles.

Adding the [tags] just results in the movie being scraped as the wrong movie, then when I select the correct imdb+ movie it renames the movie without the [tags]. I felt that the movie is a remake just like all the other remakes that are renamed. Anyways will just leave it as is.

Appears to be a bug, the value is not being passed forward from search node to details node anymore in this new MovPic version, will have to look into that.

[REC] Movie trilogy

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1038988/
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1245112/?ref_=sr_2
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1649444/?ref_=sr_1

Need custom entries because the title get parsed as an extra feature [tag]
so "[REC]" is displayed as "[REC] 1 [REC]" in Moving Pictures, "[REC] 2" is listed as "[REC] 2 [REC]"

Maybe

<rename id="tt1038988" title="[REC] I" />
<rename id="tt1245112" title="[REC] II: Fear Revisited" />
<rename id="tt1649444" title="[REC] III: Genesis" />

Not sure if you should sort under "[" or "R", will leave that up to you.

Already in it.

<rename id="tt1038988" title="[Rec] I" collection="Quarantine & [Rec]" />
<rename id="tt1245112" title="[Rec] II" collection="Quarantine & [Rec]" />
<rename id="tt1649444" title="[Rec] III: Génesis" collection="Quarantine & [Rec]" />
<rename id="tt1649443" title="[Rec] IV: Apocalypse" collection="Quarantine & [Rec]" />
But as stated before, there is some weird behaviour going on with current MovPic version, where my scraper-script workaround on special editions and tags does not work 100% anymore. It is just really annoying to debug, because I have to like step-trace MovPic as the scraper-debug logging doesn't give me the correct answers anymore either.

I have recently installed MediaPortal 1.37 (x64) and MP-TVSeries v4.5.1.697 and unfortunately the TV episode runtime duration is missing in my Titan skin. This only applies to my .TS files, my .MKV files are OK. I believe the difference is likely to be because .MKV files embed the runtime in the file unlike .TS files. I have done...

MP1 MP2 MP2 - V2.5 No Thumbnails for TV recordings DE
I know, missing thumbnails for TV recordings have been discussed before. But even after tryping to follow possible solutions provided by the forum, the problem persists. In short, I am running MP 2.5 on a Win11 system with the skin blue vision (I also tried WMC but same issue). When recording TV shows no thumbnails are created. I have...

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal. Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...
