    Hi again burton666

    Sorry for the delayed response - I've had a much needed week off from MediaPortal work. I got your PM though so I will attempt to find some time to log into your TV Server tomorrow while you're asleep and do some testing.

    Hi everyone

    Big apologies for the delay in response. I have had a very busy month! I'm posting here again to tell you about the patch that I've posted -->here<--. I hope it will fix the DiSEqC issues with the TBS6984 (and other newer products) so I'd really encourage you to test. I need your feedback. ;)

    Not tried mine with Pay TV as I no longer subscribe to Sky UK. I think you need CI slots on the card to access Pay TV, and there are none on the 6984. However TBS do other cards with CI slots.

    Hi all,

    just want to say that the new driver for tbs6984 version 1.0.2.4 does not work for me. Mediaportal shows only 2 (A and B) instead of 4 tuners.
    1.0.2.3 shows all 4 tuners (A, B, C, D).

    //
    Just called the "tbs gmbh" and told them the problem with the new driver.
    The man said that they will have a look at this.

    Anyone is also expericencing problems with 1.0.2.4?

    Yes someone I know has seen poblems and reverted (edit) drivers to 1.0.2.3

    Also their latest TBS 6284 1.0.0.6 is utter garbage (completely unstable) 1.0.0.5 being rock solid. (from personal testing)

    Looks like they dropped the ball on their latest releases!

    If someone else is having problems with drivers from tbs technology, please call them and ask for an update. If more people are complaining about their drivers the faster the next update comes.

    //
    Reverted to 1.0.2.3? Or has he/she another card?

    //
    I just did a complete reinstall of windows and mediaportal. Now I have all 4 tuners with 1.0.2.4.

    Hi. I'm a bit astonished that no one mentioned the DigitalDevices Cine S2 as a reliable Tuner card. Imho it's the best card available today. Or was it because this is a dual tuner card? But afair the DVBSky also is a dual tuner card. I had one before the Cine S2 but did not remember the exact number... The DVBSky was good but the CIne...

    :(. I have never used satellite TV, and I regret that I do not know what the problem might be. TV Server scans only those frequencies that are defined in the tuning-parameters file for the satellite that you are scanning, so it is possible that the missing channels have moved to a new frequency that is not contained in the...

    No experience at all with sat stuff, but do TBS provide (or suggest) viewing/test software that will work with their cards? (You'll need to stop MP TV Server running when you do this - use the 'Manual Control' tab in TV server config to stop/start it - as it won't share tuners with other software).
