I had that exception in AMCupdater also on first use - I used then older utils.dll and core.dll and even had to use old grabber.dll - don't know why - but now it's working fine even without grabber.dll and with latest DLLs - I use the new AMCupdater on the mediaserver (not in MePo Dir) with only utils.dll, core.dll and mediainfo.dll in the directory and selected one of the new (attached) scraper xmls (ofdb).

Where can I download those old utils.dll and core.dll?
And where are attached those new scraper xmls? I am using my old alpacine scraper Is no more long valid?

In mesfilmsdetail.xml there are two labels "hardcoded" - this is "first" and "last" (ID106 and ID105). I changed them to german in the skinfile for my personal use, but wuld be more consistent to have it in the language file.

I had the problem that in the multiimage control in mesfilmsdetails after changing the picture, the brightness went to full instead staying dimmed. Got a hint from tgx to remove all colorfiffuse from the picture controls and add anotherone below - and that did the trick...
This was obviously a purely skinrelated thing...

... and just checked my config and realized, that the plugin did NOT use the original title, but instead the translated title to create the directories - the reason is easy: I have configured the plugin to use the translated title as mastertitle and the original title as secondary title - so the easiest improvement would be to retrieve fanart for both titles (mastertitle AND secondarytitle) and also check fanart for a movie for both?
But: I also checked AMCupdater - as far as I understand, this tool runs "standalone" (if not used with batchprocessing) - and it seems to use translated title for retrieving fanart by default - didn't find a possibility to change that ...?

Searching is done with Original and Translated Title. Priorly with Original' one for best results as Movies are often known with it.

... I used the old DLLs from the directory where I successfully was running the 8.x version of AMCupdater - but I would recommend to use newer ones anyway, cause I can confirm this works - on the old grebber.dll is now included in the AMCupdater.exe, so no more used.
The new scraper XMLs are included in the mpi file - and will be installed with the package. You could extract the package and check instaler.xmp about details, e.g.:

I attached here the directory I am using as standalone - you can test if this is working for you (using AMCupdater standalone, not from the MyFilmsGUI) if you want.
Be careful - do NOT copy those files in your MePo dirs, it probably breaks your installation ;-) - instead extract them somewhere in a separate directory - MePo itself should not be required.

If you have installed APCUpdater with the mpi package, you'd find a subdirectory scripts (C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\scripts) with all scrapper files modified.

The multiimage control seems not to support colordiffuse at all - so remove the colordiffuse from all picture related controls and add an extra control with the colordiffuse below.

I have modified the file for Blue3 and attached it for you - tested and works fine here.

... this might be a misunderstanding, maybe I made some confusion: I had problems but I am now using latest SVN on both standalone and in mediaportal.

Zebons: Is there a possibility to check if AMCupdater is working from inside MePo? I get the waiting sign in the skin, but no logentries. I might setup a smaller testDB to test this - but would appreciate any hint
Edit: Made some more testing:
In Details: When using Update Movie Infos - I get Updates depending on the script I choose - they not all bugfree, but in general this seems to work and I get Logentry "record updated"
In Details: When using Download Backdrops - nothing happens and no related info in log.
In mesfilms: When choosing "Cover Search" I get the following entries in log:

All funvtion download backdrop not covers (covers are downloading with Movie details).
In the main screen two options :
a key press 'X" on a selected movie and you can update movies details or downlaod backdrop like in the detail screen for that single movie.
If you choose the Menu option (Cover Search isn't the appropriate label) it download backdrops for all movies of your DB within a specific thread as you can continue working (batch mode).
You can test it by renaming a directory fanart and ask the dowbload fanart for that movie. It'd recreate the directory and filled it with backdrops. I'll add message log.
I'll take a look on AMCU this WE to see why it use the translated title.

On the main screen, you also can press the 'P' key to launch the movie without entering into the detail screen.

Thanks! That was my problem: I was using the old scraper files

Now I have a problem: downloading fanart from inside the MyFilms GUI dont work for me. It creates the subfolder, but no image.
And I have a suggestion: Would it be possible to download only fanart of a certain resolution?

Therefore there are no items visible. I know it`s a skin error... Can you tell me what`s wrong on with the xml file?

Hi Zebons,

I wanted to report a bug in the configuration to you - can you check, if you can reproduce this?:
- enter the plugin in configuration
- choose a configuration
- goto second tab (optional 1)
- In "sort by item" on the lower right side choose in the FIRST dropdown a property
- then click in the field where you enter a label

- >>>> This breaks the config file somehow !

THis does NOT happen in the second lower field, when doing the exact same.

Depending on your configuration, this leads to having multiple entries or many empty profile entries.

I also noticed, that in the dropdown some fields are offered twice and the field "date added" is not offered at all.

So could you fix this bug and make the "date added" selectable as sort item (might be a problem of the bug anyway).

PS: I know of others here experiencing the same problem in the past - my workaround was usually to edit the config manually ....
