Hi Guzzi,
I try to download Fanart from myfilms plugin and it's working fine for me (I rename the previous directory and ask for download fanart and I get the new directory with backdrops filled) and with the Original Title (the directory created is named with translated title but searching is made with Original).
Can you send me an extract of your DB with your config file for movies which don't work for fanart downloading ?

well, did some more tests, it's not so easy for me to reproduce - and there is only little info available beside the fact it works or it works not.

I created a testDB with some pseudomovies with following results:

Directory with "moviefiles":

And you are correct - when fanart is available in translatedtitle, it is displayed - thats fine.

Result is:
No fanart for matrix, shrink, titanic - although they are available on tmdb.
Fanart for the rest was retrieved.

PS: In the GUI, when updating movie information, you get a dialog to choose right movie - what happens, if tmdb request gives several possible results? Is it possible, that this causes problems?

PPS: The OFDB scraper seems to have problems with "german Umlaute" - like "ä" "ö" "ü" - is this something easy to fix? codepage? At least this explains, why I sometimes don't get any reaction at all. Would be nice, if at least the windows for "manual entry" could be displayed.
You Can easily reproduce with the DB I sent you: Try Updating Movieinfo with OFDB scraper for "Terminator 4 - Die Erlösung" - doestn't work. But it works for all movies without "ä,ö,ü" ...

I think you misunderstood me - it would be no problem to change/correct title, if only I would get a popup in the GUI - this does not happen when "no results" appear. This is probably a limitation of the scraper, is it?
It's irritating, that just "nothing" happens when pushing the buttons - at least a "no results found" would help the user to understand what's happening.

Second, it seems, that searching directly on the website with "ä,ö,ü" seems to work - but not from the grabber - which is I assume somehow a conflict of special characters not send as they should.

Anyway, it's not the most important thing - and as you said, it's possible to use another grabber - imdb works fine...

Hi, I use Blackglass - and no, does not work without modifications - skin needs adaption to updated myfilm plugin - I have made the required adaptions to the blackglass already and I am in contact with tgx - he will review my changes and update the blackglass (and nova as well I assume) as soon as I send him the "final package".

When I reinstall, it appears to include StreamedMP, but I can't get genre images to work.

In the latest MyFilms beta package here, there is ONLY Blue3 skin included. Just checked StreamedMP svn - it's also not yet updated.

To get Genreimages to work, you have to drop pictures in the appropriate folders - and they have to be named same as the genrename (e.g. "action", "2009", etc.). You can also put backdrops in the subdirectories of the fanartfolder (check the location - folders get autocreated once you entered that view inside the GUI)
