Re: AW: Re: AW: Re: AW: The Future of MyFilms?

The fanart control 1000 is for displaying fanart taken from coverpicture - you can (must) enable that in config, so that in case you have no fanart in the fanartfolder, the plugin will automatically hide multiimagecontrol (1001) and show the coverpicture as fanart via control 1000.
Thanks - however, if I comment out the multiimage control, then control 1000 appears to display a single fanart image
In any case, my point is that a DVD cover stretched or zoomed to fanart/widescreen size just cannot ever really look good. My suggestion (maybe for 5.1?) would be to change that DVD Cover setting to allow a user (or skin) to select a default background image that is a proper widescreen resolution.

afaik yes, that is limitation of MePo Code.
Um, I use animations on multiimage controls quite often, so I don't think so. (and if I change the ID on control 1001 and set an image path they work fine - just as a test ofc)

Thanks for the #myfilms.view change :D

AW: Re: The Future of MyFilms?

One more thing Guzzi (Dadeo is hiding now!) I cannot get any animations to work on the logos controls in the main view, not fade, slide, nada. It's really odd because animations work perfectly in Details view on the same controls. Ofc I tried in the B3\wide skins.

I am gonna duck real fast now before you throw something at me!

Good question - I also tried a bit and can confirm the described behaviour - with or without connecting the imagecontrol to the LoGoIDs (2001, 2002). Unfirtunately I have no idea, why it is like that - so this question might be answered by someone from team who knows the architecture and dependencies better!?

Well, I use this with zoom yes and keepaspectratio - so the image looks ok and fully fills the screen - only the resolution is oc worse than with explicit fanartimages. If it's dimmed, that is not such a big thiungs - and I very much prefer that over having no picture or a picture that is not at all related to the respective movie ... but it's configurable, so you could use another image instead this just by removing the 1000 control from the skin.

afaik yes, that is limitation of MePo Code.

what exactely di you mean? you're talking about manually assigning a directory(path) to a multiimagecontrol? what animation do you mean? afaik multiimage only supports fading/dissolves, right?

Thanks for the explanation about fanart control 1000 in details view. Now I understand :p It helped me debug my issue with backdrops which was just a silly typo on my part. I get default backdrops fine now, and the default DVD cover displays if turned on in Config.

    :D

Yep - now after selecting a View (like Category Year aso) Esc/Back goes to movies view and then home (or previous window) as it should. Thanks!

EDIT: Logo animations work with visibility now, but not with WindowOpen/Close

Didn't spend much time with AMCupdater yet at all, but if you give a more detailed description of the scenario and configuration I could have a look at it.
Standalone or called from myfilms, configfile AMCupdater, etc.
this is talking about AMCupdater, not logs from myfilms, right? (So should be moved to AMCupdater thread).

WOW! I used to use this plugin a "long time ago" and I finally got around to looking at it again a few months ago when I saw that it had been "revived". I skinned it for BleazleWide (my local copy, not released) and it's all working good with fanart etc but I haven't had a chance to do much (any) skinning since then - luckily for me because there's no way I could keep up with you guys!

Great to see so much work/testing being done, especially since it was "dead" for so long - I'm looking forward to the "final" release, hopefully I'll have time to re-skin it for BleazleWide :)

@ Guzzi & Dadeo (chief tester? :D ) Keep up the great work! :D

TV Server plugins are listed on this page, and "EPG Cleaner" can be downloaded from this page. Note: I don't know what bitness the plugin has. It might be 32-bit, or it might be "any cpu". The plugin is not listed by the "MP Extensions" tool, so I don't know whether it has been tested with the most-recent MP releases. -- from...
