i've been having a look around online videos pluggin and on many that i select i get the above message. why is this and can it be fixed??

You should post OnlineVideos.log, MPUrlSourceSplitter.log + MediaPortal.log.

These log files you find in:

• Windows XP
  • C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team Mediaportal\MediaPortal\log\
• Windows Vista/Windows 7
  • C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\log\

Please attach them here.

Holzi is talking about log files which keep track what is happening on your MP installation. You need to post your log files to the forum so we can find out what is wrong in your setup, without the logs it is impossible know what the error is, what is happening and how to fix the problem.
