I'm not sure what you mean, because there's no such thing as premium MediaPortal.

There are 2 download links for MediaPortal. One is labeled "Regular" and the other is marked "Premium" with no explanation.
Apparently, there is no difference. But if you donate you are flagged as a Premium member here on the portal.

I don't know what links you're looking at, but there's no mention of "regular" or "premium" on our official website's download page:

If you're downloading from anywhere other than there, you could be getting duped.
Again, there's no such thing as a premium version of MediaPortal.

Thats what I alwalys thought: I knew that there somewhere is a secret MediaPortal out there - available only for the rich - PREMIUM MediaPortal

I thing what he saw was a google AD link! Which has Regular and Premium buttons at the end of the page he was viewing.

You see a Regular and Premium download button. It seems that this is a purposely misleading Google advertisement. It sure confused the heck out of me because I could find nothing about the Premium version on the MediaPortal site. The fact that it is an add for something called "Social Modules" was not at all obvious to me at the time. They look like download links for MediaPortal.
