Hi all,
YouTube doesn't work anymore - I think that due to the old API that's being discontinued. In any case, I get "no URL" on every YouTube video I try.
Is this easy to fix, or will we have to wait longer?
You can no longer provide your credentials from within MediaPortal - the new API requires to open a browser and choose your YouTube account, so you can give OnlineVideos access to the required information. The token is then saved for later access. You can enable this functionality as usual from the context menu on the youtube site.
I believe you mean the Google button on the right upper side? There is a menue behind but I can not find anything that looks like "enable OnlineVideos" here.
Now I can see e.g. videos from "My Playlist" or the "Last Viewed Videos". In other words, all videos that are related to my account with the exception of the "New Videos". Also, no other group opens (e.g. "Top Rated") - the only thing I see is the device no longer supported video.
I'm glad you updated to new api.
I'm trying to learn the new layout, but i can't find a setting, so the newest youtube videos shows first (the oldest videos shows first, which is very unhandy). And is it possible for you to add "New Videos" (directing to https://www.youtube.com/feed/subscriptions instead of https://www.youtube.com/subscription_manager)?
edit:
Actually, i think the sort option is broke. the youtube is sorted by viewcount and cannot be changed
The feed urls that worked previously with the 2.0 API, are no longer supported. Check here: https://developers.google.com/youtube/v3/docs/
If you can find the query you want here, I can add it
I think there's something else going on too:
It seems that you reference stuff that isn't present in current release of onlinevideos:
Looking for SiteUtils and Hosters in OnlineVideos.Sites.offbyone (Version: 1.0.0.3669, Compiled: 2015-05-07 11:26:56)

Uh, maybe I forgot to embed an assembly - the v3 Api is actually .net 4.5 I had to pull some tricks to get it working, but on dev PC it works with current OV.

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal.
Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...
