I am having a problem with the XML TV, My account is correct, I double checked it. It just started today. WHen I try to download the schedule, it downloads 89 KB's and updates it. I got mine to work by making sure the cable was firmly attatched and experimenting with what end was in what card... took some time but worked.
However, you should be able to get a new cable from the reseller of the card.

I have an ATI All-In-Wonder 9700 Pro and Have never been able to get TV working in Media Portal.
If I use ATI Multimedia Center 9.13 software then I can scan TV channels and able to view TV OK although quality is very poor.

What's wrong with the 1280x768 resolution you have? It's 16:9, and it's probably the correct resolution for the TV.
Why are you trying to get 1024x576? It's the same aspect ratio, just with less detail.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I have purchased an MCE remote from a dealer in Sydney and am now waiting to receive it. I made sure he checked and it does (as everyone said) come with the 2 IR buds. Can't wait to add Foxtel to my MediaPortal setup, good to see others have it working flawlessly - this is going to be great! :)

Yes, you could give this a try. Thats what I am doing with my PVR 350. I use the Hauppauge Tweak Tool to set the bitrate external and MP does not change it. So this is quite ok.

- Try using a different MPEG2 decoder - maybe ATIs, or even Nvidia's PureVideo decoder (it will still use hardware acceleration in non-Nvidia cards).

I think i have read this somewhere before, i'm sure you had to make the TV the primary monitor to work.
