I've noticed this behaviour too.
The larger the recordingslist gets, the slower MP gets in the conflicts/scheduled recordings part.
But I just read that someone is completely rewriting the recordings part so I hope this also improves (together with the conflicts handling)

I sometimes do cleanup to free HDD space and delete recordings straight from harddisk via Windows Explorer. I don't always want to go to MediaPortal. Also now I can also use Big_Kevs webmanager to delete them but it's easier on explorer as I can quickly play recording too to determine it's something I really want to delete...

Yes it's like windows explorer (in fact, haali works in windows explorer thumbnails), but haali has the option to select the offset for the thumbnail (5 seconds, for example). If this is included in MP2, then this are great news!!

If you mark the checkbox "Minimize to tray on GUI exit" in Configuration you get the expected behaviour when you "quit" MP in fullscreen mode.
I'm not sure if this is what you want if you will have the possibility to really quit MP when hitting the close button but an alternative.

I think it would drasticly imprive the image quality on my TV if there was an option to show black bars when using a widescreen...
