The problem comes in from when it says supported that is correct until the manufacturer makes a change, look under device manager\sounds, video and game controllers identify your TV card and right click on properties then select from the details drop down panel hardware ID, this is the name\moniker of your TV card that MP is looking...

Have you got the TV Cards sound out connection (there is one on the picture on the leadtek website) linked to the motherboard ?
If you have, usually connected to aux\cd try disconnecting and let the sound go through the PCI bus, if not then try connecting the cable. one or other should solve the problem.

A PCI card will always work better than a USB version, especially if you want standby\resume funtionality.
beware though some PCI cards are really usb (Hauppauge T500 for example)

I'd like an answer to this question as well.... I'm having similar problems with my Pinnacle 310i - it seems as if only the digital part is recognized in the default carddefinitions xml file, and I can't get the analog part to work even with GraphEdit. Someone please?

In my config, I cannot play MP3 with WMediaPlayer to get the visualisation.
The track start (the clock is running) but I don't have any sound and the visualisation is freezed.

I'm still having these sound issues. I found that about 2 out of 14 channels have sound the others don't. I tried to check the settings in PVR but they all seem ok. Use the standard MPA audio codec that comes with MP.
Make sure under media portal setup program you have set to from stereo to 3 front 2 rear.
Under settings goto directshow filter control
on the right of the screen set ac3 and dts decoder setting to 5.1
