Hi guys,
In my config, I cannot play MP3 with WMediaPlayer to get the visualisation.
The track start (the clock is running) but I don't have any sound and the visualisation is freezed.
So I have to play with the internal player, but I don'y have any visualisation - and the sound works.
If anybody knows the way to fix that...

I'm still having these sound issues. I found that about 2 out of 14 channels have sound the others don't. I tried to check the settings in PVR but they all seem ok. I can't really understand that either- isn't the pvr softeware independant of media portal? Why would you have to configure the audio in pvr?

Use the standard MPA audio codec that comes with MP.
Make sure under media portal setup program you have set to from stereo to 3 front 2 rear.
Under settings goto directshow filter control
on the right of the screen set ac3 and dts decoder setting to 5.1
I also have downmix to stereo unticked not sure if that is needed...

I have tried with firewall switched off, and also adding ports for TCP but not udp as advice from networking colleage was not to open to many udp ports.

Normally you would use 'setup.msi' to install the software.
Instead, use: "msiexec /a setup.msi".

I had the same error after a crash of MP. I couldn't turn on TV and the Timeshifting button in the was grayed out.
I solved the problem by changing the recording folder in the configuration.
