I had the same error after a crash of MP. I couldn't turn on TV and the Timeshifting button in the was grayed out.
I solved the problem by changing the recording folder in the configuration.

The capture definition I had produced using graphedit in my previous post was correct Stupidly, I had edited the file in wordpad instead of notepad and it had placed page breaks into the file when I saved it. Discovered this because the log was showing "unrecognised character" messages as it...

Yeah, MP needs to be closed before saving, if not the settings file it's not reloaded & you still use the old settings.

An update....After some time going without this channel, I decided to rescan mannually for all channels and to my surprise he found Ned3, I thought...lets copy the frequency, restore a backup of all the channels with proper names etc... and then past the ned3 frequency.....it didn't work....:'(.
