That is true, hardware accelleration never worked for me under XP, however I allways blamed the graphics card for that (under Vista it was the same, I have now a new GFX card).

I agree with pmcguire, if you have a dedicated machine, use it for MP TV server. Works the best way.

Once MP 1.0 is out, rest assured that everyone will update the skins and plugins for 1.0.

just to add, the 'workaround' for the nova t500 that Paranoid Delusion was talking about can be found here.
out of the box the t500 will fail to start TV in mediaportal when it wakes from hybernation, but apparently the above plugin will sort it out (tho i havent tried it myself yet). ;)

I scanned for chanels for my TV Cards, then a few minutes later, the complete TV Guide appeared (presumably contained in the free-to-air signal sent by the stations). Works for me. Not sure why...

Well, I only found this today at work trying to track down a problem one of our customers was experiencing - our main app re-connects itself if it encounters an error, but one part in an separate module doesn't and it was that part that was having trouble... so we'll have to see what it does.
