Sounds like a good idea in principal but what happens when you go and lay down a lot of money on one of those reference systems, follow all the install instructions to the letter and yet you still have problems, all you're going to do is blame the mp team...

So my biggest gripes for years regarding Movies under MP is the lack of a 'search' command for title etc and the fact that there is no way to see the most recently added or 'newest' files.

The CI Module is configured to service the T-USB2 device in both the card properties and the WinTV CI tab.

Some 7 months ago there have been some efforts made to get the Hauppauge WinTV Ci Module supported in the TV-Server...
No, for the moment its jsut work on single seat enviroment (..)
But im developing now a extended version for the TvServer (plugin) and the Client (plugin).
For the moment you can show the path from the tv recordings on the share where the files are. :P - its a bitt slower but should work for the moment (work around)

Oh well. It has been uninstalled, but I do have the .rar file. It is 21.8 MB and is 1.0_RC2. I may try again. I really don't know if I will see any benefit over what I have installed now. I may need a little convincing before I try again.

I bet there is a process running on your pc, that grabs focus away from MP, green button tends to give focus back, thats why it then responds, mouse click anywhere on the GUI would do the same if you wish to test this answer out.

Wouldnt mind this the other way with a memory card from the digital camera.
ie. stick the memory card in, press some kind of copy button and it auto creates a folder for them with the date (or specified title) on the hard disk.

Might sound stupid but the way I work around this constrain would be to a Dual display setup, one via HDMI on the plasma and then the VGA connected the Plasma as well toggeling with the plasma remote between the 2 inputs leaviing both running...

This behavior is a design issue with MP code. When tv is turned on the display adapter enables the HDMI/DVI signal and that is causing directx device lost event. For Vista users we might have a workaround to the design issue soon that will fix this behavior (not sure yet will it happen in 1.0 or 1.0.1).
