as title says, selecting the tab "Manual Control" in the TV-Server Configuration will interrupt DVB-EPG Grabbing or recordings...
Try removing drivers and if possible change the PCI slot its installed in, may be a conflict, reinstall with the drivers, using the hauppauge software try scanning.
If that fails you may have a faulty card\connection\lnb.

The option to execute a file in TVServer powerscheduler apparantly does not work for me since the file is not executed if you manually wake up the PC (?).

Just to let you know, had to reinstall XP, and reinstalled everything and presto, no problem since.
Do not have a clue why this was happening as everything set back to original settings\databases\files.
So it looks like there was a xp\codec problem that may have been causing this.

Well I have found what seems to be the problem and I am testing to see if the below changes correct this.
It would seem that there is an error in the TV SERVICE setup of the service during instal and that the specific hardware profile logon is disabled.

The act of uninstalling a working TV server and installing a newer SVN (going from 14162 to 14192) has given rise to a MS system...
The problem still exists and I can fill in that it occurs even when no cards are enabled at all. New logs with this scenario attached. I've done a total reinstallation of Windows too, so it shouldn't be Windows' fault this time :p.

LNB settings are only stored when scanning for channels currently. While this might sound unlogical, those settings are stored together with the found channels during autotune, so it doesn't make sense to change them afterwards.

You are 100% right, I was accessing a mapped network share which was only accessible with the user running mediaportal... now I switched to a \\server\path syntax and let the SYSTEM user access it, it works!
Now I just have to build some Linux script to move files around and change permissions...
