MCE Standby Tool didn't make any difference to the matter.
It is something different hapening in suspending from MP and without MP, I don't know what exactly. Perhaps developers can clarify the difference.

With KeyboardPlugin you can scan the button's code from your remote control.
If the remote control have any button's that no send any code, and are a HID hardware, you must try AutoHotKey with the HID support DLL file.

The IR is not an USB, it goes directly in the card. Looks like a typical small stereo jack.

That's always been something I liked about ByRemote's HIP. It adjusts automatically to the active program. I don't understand why some other programs don't do this.

You have to set the input configuration in HIP to Keyboard, then you can use 80% of the keys by reassigning them as keypresses in line with the keys and sounds configuration page within MP.
