i already runned filmerit and it didn't find any faults or bugs.
i use RC2.
i already attached a log file in the thread i started in "mediaportal 1 talk"
but i will ad my hardware specs in that post. otherwise i will end up with a dozen threads about the same problem.

I notice when searching recorded TV , I can search "contains" , however when searching Lve TV that option isn't there ? so you need to know the full title of the programme to find it i.e. if it starts with "the" you must put it in search. Are there any plans to include this or am I missing something...

I had the same problem - for me it was a matter of codecs. I tried every possible combination and the only one working is: MPEG2/Audio ffdshow and H.264 Cyberlink. With this, switching between all channels works perfectly. I know that this should not be the final solution, but perhaps for the time being.

It seems that my cable provider made a change on this channel. After a second channel rescan everything was fine again. I hope that someone can find out why TVServer is acting so strange when it's unable to display a channel. Nobody give my any answers, but I discover that using AEON skin, that automatically init MP when starting Windows, the switching DVB-T channels problem is solved. However sometimes, when I close MP and launch it again to see TV channels, MP hangs up when accesing MyTV.

Thanks again PD. I ran the checks. Looks like it was ffdshow being used to playback the xvids. Ran Filmerit and fixed a couple of problems, then just reinstalled the xvid codec and left ffdshow off.
Just watched a program that's about 1 1/2 hours long with no stutters. Fingers crossed :)
