Hi,
Do you mean i'm not doing anything to fix & therefor it's a big bug, grow up. The bug it's trivial (doesn't burn up your comp, doesn't make crashes, MP can be used, etc), you can disable this option to blank the screen very very simple in Configuration & use Windows empty screensaver instead.
But as gemx says he has fixed it so the problem it's actually gone, thanks gemx

maybe setting loglevel to debug might pinpoint the difference between normal and stuck?
Preferable with as much disabled as possible
also try to see if anything is happening during stuck for the mediaportal process(resource monitor, disk activity, cpu usage, anything)

Since over a year my MP sometimes stucks while showing the welcome screen. It started once a week now it happens every second time...
Ok, thanks much. I will look into the instructions above. For the moment, I turned off the "Automatic channel logo update" in Settings (which somehow I had missed, I think because it wasn't an option previously), and the deleted everything in the Flat-default folder and populated it with my own logos. Works, so far.
