Hey MM,

Thanks for taking the time to answer.

Not reluctant to use IRSS - just wasnt sure if i had to or not.

With my MCE remote (genuine MS one) itr came with both a Keyboard and the MCE V2 Remote.

These both communicate through IR to a small box (IR Reciever) that is USB attached to the MP PC. This box is identified as the EHOME receiver and it has two ports for IR Blasters to attach to.

    Hi again Craig

Thanks for taking the time to answer.
    No problem. :)

The remote support in MP is quite good I think... and it needs to be because many (if not most) HTPCs will have some kind of remote. The same is not true of blasters in the sense that they are not as widely used, and the support reflects that in some ways. I guess what I'm trying to say is that aside from ServerBlaster there is no built-in support for blasters, so you'll need something to get them to work... and that something is usually IRSS. Whether IRSS would support blasters connected to the USB box is something I'm not sure about - you'd have to try it and see...

I've got an XMLtv feed file I use with Media Center just need to understand how I feed it into MP, as well as setting up the tvserver to display Foxtel

Will MP's EPG change the channel for me? I'm using the media center remote with bladders on MC so expect to do the dame with MP
    Hi ipguy
Just wanted to check if you got your XMLTV EPG data working? It is actually pretty easy (I use it :))
You can get instructions on the XmlTV Wiki page.

Just to be clear, you only need IRSS to blast when you use a Set Top Box (STB)

If either you or craigcurtin are willing to add a guide to our Wiki about using Foxtel in Australia, there is a section for Aussie users under Customization > Localization > By Country > Australia Not many aussies have added much there, so it would be great to help out new users like yourselves. Then we can link to it from here or any forum post.

@craigcurtin IIRC to create a new wiki page you have to have entered at least 10 forum posts, but if ipguy starts a page you can add to it.

    Hi again DJBlu

Were you aware that Sky NZ uses OpenTV too? I could definitely get you a dump of that from 12519H on Optus D1.

Thank you very much for the tip. The Germany-Full doesn't have all the channels either. But I've now found out that I can read the frequencies using DVB-Viewer, which also receives all the channels I can receive. I'll use that to create my own channel file. Let's see if that works.

Hi, it looks like the Client's server connection settings got corrupted somehow and were reset, hopefully this is an easy fix. Open MP2-Client, navigate to Settings->General->Connectivity->Home server. In the menu on the left there may be an option Detach from home server, if there is click it and acknowledge the dialog that pops up...
