I'm new to MP and I need to setup Foxtel with an EPG

Can anyone point me to a guide please, or at least reply to a MP newbie with a detailed example of just the two requirements

DJBlu hasn't made a grabber as yet for Foxtel but keep an eye as it's high on the list. Perhaps even Monday! If you PM him you may be able to assist in providing the necessary broadcasts for him to analyse.

I've got an XMLtv feed file I use with Media Center just need to understand how I feed it into MP, as well as setting up the tvserver to display Foxtel

Will MP's EPG change the channel for me? I'm using the media center remote with bladders on MC so expect to do the dame with MP

I have MP changing channels on my fox box. Fox connected via SVideo, using media center remote with blasters and IR Server Suite. Works really well. Worth noting that after installing ir server suite you need to reboot to get it to blast.

Does IR Server Suit come with MP ?

IR Server Suite (IRSS) is a TV Server plugin. Have a look here and here for info...

Guys.

Just wanted to confirm here - do i actually need IRSS to get Foxtel channel changing happening ? I already have the MCE remote running fine in MP 1.1.3 for controlling MP functions.

I am about to add Foxtel to the mix through a Hauppauge PVR150 with SVideo, i was assuming that MP would know to use the IR blaster that is attached to the MCE USB hub ?

Um, I'm not exactly sure what you're referring to by the MCE USB hub. Apparently some PVR 150s now come with a blaster, so is that what you're referring to?

If you're reluctant to use IRSS for whatever reason then you can try the ServerBlaster (which is a built in plugin for TV Server), however you may find it a bit crippled (apparently it doesn't work with Vista or 7)...
