    "Basic" Basichome.

    I only use very few items/plugins, so I did a mod on the Aeon style basic home for MediaStream to fit the X-Factor skin. If someone wants this, I can upload the needed files. It's based on Spragelknas version of the .xml file, so it's really easy to modify to your needs and supports 8 items. I really love this skin!

    Edit BasicHome.xml to fit your needs. You'll find notes in the .xml showing you what to edit.

    Included in this Basic Home (English text button labels):

    TV-Series (First item)
    Music
    Videos (MyVideos)
    TV
    Plugins
    Settings
    Pictures
    Feature Films (Moving Pictures)

    Update 2009-06-21
    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...unity-mods-x-factor-aeon-mod-_new_overlay.zip

    Uploaded yet another .zip package with support for current Infoservice 0.9* and the new Now Playing overlay introduced with X-Factor as of version R225. I'll try and update the screenshots when I get the time.

    Update 2009-06-20
    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...munity-mods-x-factor-aeon-mod-infoservice.zip

    Edited Basichome.xml to use the current version of Infoservice. Also removed the weather overlay, as the skin file uses the pretty overlay with forecast, made by cul8er. The old package (supporting the old RSS plugin, as well as earlier releases of Infoservice) is still available for a short period though.

    Update 2009-06-02:
    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...3964519-community-mods-x-factor-aeon-mod-.zip

    Updated (THANKS A LOT cul8er) to use the new RSS/Weather plugin with the 5-day forecast. The screenshot below isn't updated yet though, but the weather is positioned above the EXIT, HIBERNATE-buttons and those are now slightly lower. Looks good.

    Note: If you have made changes to labels, backdrop paths etc, just copy the first part from your old .xml and replace that same part in your new .xml.

    I'm talking about this:
    Code:
    <!-- BUTTON 1 (0) -->

    	<description>Menu0-Series</description>
    	<define>#item0label:TV-Series</define>
    	<define>#link0:9811</define>
    	<define>#folder0:tvseries</define>

    <!-- BUTTON 2 (1) -->

    	<description>Menu1-Music</description>
    	<define>#item1label:Music</define>
    	<define>#link1:501</define>
    	<define>#folder1:music</define>

    <!-- BUTTON 3 (2) -->

    	<description>Menu2-Videos</description>
    	<define>#item2label:Videos</define>
    	<define>#link2:6</define>
    	<define>#folder2:movies</define>

    <!-- BUTTON 4 (3) -->

    	<description>Menu3-TV</description>
    	<define>#item3label:Watch TV</define>
    	<define>#link3:1</define>
    	<define>#folder3:tv</define>

    <!-- BUTTON 5 (4) -->

    	<description>Menu4-plugins</description>
    	<define>#item4label:Plugins</define>
    	<define>#link4:34</define>
    	<define>#folder4:pluginsbg</define>

    <!-- BUTTON 6 (5) -->

    	<description>Menu5-settings</description>
    	<define>#item5label:Settings</define>
    	<define>#link5:4</define>
    	<define>#folder5:settings</define>

    <!-- BUTTON 7 (6) -->

    	<description>Menu6-Pictures</description>
    	<define>#item6label:Pictures</define>
    	<define>#link6:2</define>
    	<define>#folder6:pictures</define>

    <!-- BUTTON 8 (7) -->

    	<description>Menu7-Movies</description>
    	<define>#item7label:Feature Films</define>
    	<define>#link7:96742</define>
    	<define>#folder7:movies</define>

    <!-- ALL DONE! -->

    Oh yes! :D alot!

    I love your mods emphatic. (Eh... so here I kinda love my own mod as well :D).
    Sometime I wonder why ppl like you don't try creating a complete skin.

    Looking forward to more alternatives!

    (Only thing not perfect now, is that the skin is not 1920x1080 :D)

    Thanks. "People like me" tend to have too many other projects at the same time to focus enough attention on such a big commitment. It feels (to me) like little tweaks like this often is what skin authors need to stay "cutting edge" and push the skin forward.

    Hi emphatic,

    I just noticed the X on selected menu item. Very nice. Is it ok if I use it as an idea in some parts of the skin? Thinking in terms of selected items in lists and stuff..

    best regards

    Any way to use the original basic home from streamedmp?

    Hi all,

    great skin i love it,
    but since i don't have that much plugin and i want to keep things simple is there anyway to change only the
    basic home to the original one featured in streamedmp?
    :D

    I have another mod for the Film Strip view of TV Series, that will perhaps be included into the main skin, so I don't need to put it here. It's very subtle, but nice.
