Hi dlarge500,

I need some more info. Can you please do this;
1. Attach all the files in your xfactor folder that has a name starting with "basichome"
2. What operating system do you use
3. What is the path to your skin folder?
4. Do you get the OK message in Menu Selector saying "New menu is selected!"?
5. If you do a file search for basichome.xml does it exist in other folders?

1. yes i have use the installer from the r240 and alle files from the menustyler bigins with BasicHome
2. I need 2 PC`s with Vista SP2 32Bit and 1 PC with Win7 64bit and i need on all PC`s MP 1.1.0 latest svn
3. The Path is C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\skin\XFactor
4. Yes i can see the Message
5. If I search for BasicHome.xml i can`t find this file,but i have a basichome.xml in my skin\XFactor folder?

Hi,

Can you open MP Configuration and disable the xfactor menu selector plugin (not the xfactor plugin) and see if this helps?

Just attempted that - no go still same issue.

Where are the error logs stored?

The log files (look for error.log and MediaPortal.log) file is saved here if you run Windows XP;
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\log

if you run vista it is saved in;
C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\log

I have changed the menustyle 4 times and after 4. try he saved the settings and i have my horizontal menu with RSS.

the next error is,if i make changes in the xfactor.xml and i go back to MP the Menu is always the verticale with RSS.

Hi dlarge500,

Can you please attach all the files that begins with "basichome" to your post so I can look at them. This could be an issue with MP 1.1 and if it is I cannot test it anymore because I only run MP 1.0.2 today.

The error tells me that your basichome file is invalid. But the one you attached was valid.... Can you please attach the basichome.xml file that you have in your "C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Skin\XFactor\" folder again.

hm, i think i`m stupid

I have tested again and i have many trys`s but i must go in any menupoints at the styler change the menustyle.

But the error after changes in xfactor.xml is present in this style.

have a new problem.

If i need the playDVD.xml and i will use this menupoint i see the films.xml because the myvideo.xml have the same Window ID 3001?

I look in xfactor.xml and playdvd.xml have 3001 and myvideo.xml have the Window ID 6 but i came always in the same videomenu.
