Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Nova-T 500 is a terrestrial card (i.e. Freeview/aerial), you would need a Sattelite card for Freesat (i.e. via a sattelite).

So you need a) a sattelite dish, and b) a tv card that handled sattelite feeds.

To be honest though - there is only BBC HD and ITV HD at the moment - so not much to watch!

yeah the nova-t 500 is a DVB-T card, so currently picks up freeview coming through the main aerial. so i guess id need a DVB-S?

i wasnt 100% sure because i thought that freesat was transmitted down a normal coax cable when received by the dish, so i thought there might be a chance that a normal terrestrial card would be able to decode it.

I think that you will find that satellite cable is different to normal coaxial aerial cable. If someone has wired a dish with normal coaxial cable then it is a bad installation.

You will need a satellite card to be able to get any form of satellite broadcast.

Hope that clears it up for you

    Regards

Since you have MP2 you have the option of using the TV Mosaic server. Give it a try, you don't need to do anything in MP 2 to test its capabilities, just download and install the browser based api (not the MP2 version that supports it at this point) from the MP2 - V2.5 - TVMosaic Provider for MP2 thread, let it use your tuners and do...

The TBS 6281 DVB T/T2 is a dual tuner without CAM capability it should work on both DVBT and DVBT2 as it seems it did in WMC according to the OP. I do not see why it should not work with MP, I am using its successor the TBS 6281-SE which works well with both MP1 and MP2 but I only have OTA DVBT2, no DVBT any more. Which version of MP...
