I set in MP HID remote, everything works well apart from numpad keys. Indeed, i must be in a UPPER CASE mode to make them work.
Any idea?

Thanks but ths thread does not bring me a solution.
Since yesterday, i have new issue with virtual keyboard. Indeed, i have the letter "d" wich is displayed after pressing a numpad key. When i open the virtual keyboard, a "d" letter is appeared first and after a key pressed.
Strange!?

trying to get gyration working

i just stumbled on this thread after some hours trying to get my new gyration remote working with MP 1.0. I have read the whole thread and I'm afraid I can't work it out , even to the level of what apps I need.

please can someone post an "idiot guide" exactly which apps/ plugins (in addition to MP) are needed, and what to set in MP configuration where. I installed latest eventghost but I have no clue how to configure it.
and/or please can someone post working config files for all the relevant pieces.

sorry for this but it seems really non-intuitive...

Start to enable general HID remote and tells us what it works?
For me everything works and one day numpad don't work anymore because i am in a lower case mode. If i switch to upper cas it works

meaning general HID as remote in media portal - thats all? thanks thats a start honestly even that is not obvious! I am a trained engineer I am used to reading and writing detailed documentation but this is a real detective story.

thanks again. once I have this all working I will write it in one posting for others...

so with that now:
transport (play/pause etc) controls all work
left/right/up/down/ok/go back work
info "i" does nothing
"tv" icon, "guide" icon and " the green button" launch microsoft media center !!
volume up/down , mute, channel up/down work.
numpad works
clear = go back (would like to be something else)
enter = ok (would like to be something else)
setup/dvd/input do nothing
red/green/yellow/blue/teletext do nothing

Also I had keyboard input plugin in media portal enabled (from a another, IR remote control) that caused some trouble , that had to be disabled.

do I need this MediaPortal - Mediacenter - - Message Plugin ?
