If you don't delete the database, everything should still be there. If you want to start from a completely clean install (including the database) make sure you do an export from the TV Channel setup screen and save the export file somewhere that won't get deleted when you clean up. You can then import this and it will restore channels, groups, and schedules.
...you could also save the hole database by using the SQL Server Management Studio Express (if ur using MSQL).
Im sure u can do it with MySQL tool also.
edit: then u will also have ur recordings saved (path to recordings on HD).
mmm I have another question:
I did a uninstall of the TV Server (on the server PC) and TV Server Plugin (on the client PC) then did a reset of both PC's.
Installed latest MP SVN (on client), Installed latest TV Server (on server) and TV Server plugin (on client).
On the server all works, but on the client when I go to My Tv I see no channels listed...
Did I forget to reset something? It looks like the client has kept some old settings.
u maybe just have to select channel group?
1) enter My TV
2) go to "channels"
3) on top of channel screen select ur channel group that u have mapped in server setup

triggering a denial of service attack ban. The logs show it was lifted on 5/25,
but I still see the entry in iptables. I reset fail2ban and hopefully you're
working again."

Update: Problem solved!
The electronic program guides (tvguide.xml) have been successfully transferred to MediaPortal.
The issue stemmed from the corruption of one or both of the mc2xml.dat and/or mc2xml.exe files, for an unknown reason. Consequently, even though the tvguide.xml file appeared to be updated, its content kept being an...

According to Microsoft, UTF-8 has been the preferred character set since 2019. If TV Server (or its import routine) were using UTF-8, then umlauts...
