Hi troky,
I tested it. Thank you for your adaption. First I got only code 00 for all keys. It seems that it gets the last code which the remote control is sending. If I use the Igordemo software I see that each key sends two commands: A first valid one, which codes the real key, and then a kind of "key up" end command. After selecting other remote controls (and I tested three) I found one remote control which works. This one don't send a "key up" command. I have a Logitech Harmony 525 which is programmable so I can choose a control sequence without "key up" function but I think the driver should be changed.

There are few possible reasons why your remote doesn't work... You probably have remote with NEC protocol because it has special sequence for repeating keys.
It would be nice to know what version of IgorUSB hardware you have: what chip is inside? it can be 90s2323, 90s2313 or Tiny8. If you have the last one I know what is the problem and I'll fix it as soon as I get one Tiny8 for my IgorUSB.
Second problem is that your remote has protocol that is not yet implemeted in plugin...

Anyway, I'll post link to small utility that displays raw timediagram and you will send me back readings so I can see what it is about.

HERE: Try THIS utility and send me PM with output. Press keys 1,2,3 and mark them in dump so I can analyze them.

Regards,
Troky

sorry, I forgot the information about the hardware: ATTINY2313-20SU is printed on the chip.

It is standard NEC protocol and this remote you have _should_ work with plugin... I have similar remote taht gives the same results and it works. For key '1' you should get code '00', key '2' => '01'...

Hi troky,
I tried it today and it work as you expected. I don't know what was going on as I tested it, because I did not change any dll.
Thank you for your implementation. Now I can use my remote to control MP.

Kind Regards,

TMarik

I'm glad to hear that it works now.
Lets wait for Aaron to check my code and maybe correct possible IR protocol detection/handling flaws. ;)

Troky

I'm away for the weekend, but I will get onto this first thing next week. Hopefully I can add support for some more protocols for you.

    Cheers,

    Hey Guys,

I'm stuck. How do I figure out what code represents my remote. Current I have my Harmony using a Happaugge config threw the Happauge card. Idea on how I can get the codes and map them to the USB reciever?

    Thanks
    Steve

MediaPoral Setup->Plugins->IgorPlugUsb PlugIn, Right Mouse Click->Configuration->Select a function and press a key on your Remote.

Not working. IgorPlugUSBdemo shows that the receiver is working, but it's not getting to the plug in.

Thanks for explaining. I found a passing reference to this here: https://www.team-mediaportal.com/wiki/display/MediaPortal1/HID%20Profiles which I had overlooked in the past. I would find it logical for a created custom profile to be automatically activated, but until that happens, I will try to create a wiki page for the current...

MP has adjustable audio delay. I don't know whether this works for all video formats, but it certainly works for TS files, and may work for MP4 files. There is a slider that allows you to adjust the audio delay while playing a video. Press the INFO button on the remote control to display the OSD, select the "Audio" icon, and then...
