Hi,
I've been using MP with the basic skin since a lot of time, Maya is the first skin I ever used regularly because is really well done... well, it totally rocks!!!

I searched the thread but I didn't find anything, so I'm posting my request: I would really like the volume indicator to appear while listening to music on full screen (like the one that pop ups when you change the volume while watching a video). I also tried taking a look in the XML but it's clearly not my sort of thing... I'm the only one who would find it helpful? (if so, give some hints on how to enable it in the XML files!!! )

Explanation:

Most strings are translated in Mediaportal's xml's files and some in plugins like moving pictures/mptvseries etc etc. So if those are english for you, you most likely have to translate those plugins as well(find them here Programdata/team mediaportal/mediaportal/language). Subdirs are for plugins and the files in the language dir is for mediaportal itself.

Unfortunately some strings are not translated by any plugins and that's why we used SilentExceptions plugins for translating the ones missing. Those are located Programdata/team mediaportal/mediaportal/skin/maya/translation. So instead of hardcodeding the labels in skin we want to let our users use their own language.

These strings are used all over the skin and in plugins. Sometimes you won't notice them because you don't use that particular plugin. But others might do it The global.search strings are used in the plugin Global Music search and if you don't use that plugin you will most likely never see them. But you can help other by translating them.

Sure, I'd be very pleased! I have some questions though... I would like to test it before uploading it.. how should I call the file? I'm using version 0.5.383, I need to upgrade or install some svn version? The XML file you attached is much bigger than the one I found in the MP skins directory! Also, I use just a few plugins (IE: no MovingPictures or MySeries), so can you tell me if some (and wich) of the strings are plugin-related?

Actually, I almost completed the translation, but I have some doubts on some "global.search" strings, that I can't find anywhere on my MP installation (1.1 final).

please download the latest svn version and put your language file in the language Dir in Maya Dir.

The "global.search" strings we have added manuell for the translation plugin in Maya.

I'm feeling pretty dumb... there's an installer for the svn version or I have to install subversion or some other svn client? I'm not very familiar with svn handling...

Ok, I saw the global search screen on some screenshot around the forum, but I can't find it in my MP: the strings are related to some other plugin?

sorry, if you also have the latest version from Maya you need ToirtoiseSVN and make a new Folder and klic on this Folderk with Mouse right and say CheckOut and put this https://mamp2.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ into the Tortoise svn and he load this actually Versions from us.

This Files can you overwrite in your standart installation from Maya and in the TranslationFolder you can find in the eng,de,da and spa.xml files all Strings about GlobalSearchMusic.

You can make a new it.xml file and translate all Strings you can.

Or you will only translate the file you can used this actually eng-US.xml here i have uploaded and tranlsate this and send to me back.
