RC1 shows in the splash screen

Help! OK I've now uninstalled everything, deleted every trace I can find of Media Portal and re-installed RC2. However I still get RC1 displayed in the MP splash screen. When I run MP config tool the splash screen for that shows RC2... From my log file I get....

So can anyone tell me where the SplashScreen entry in the above is coming from?

EDIT: I found the source of the above string and why deleting all of the obvious directories did not clear it. It seems that on Vista there is some sort of file cache located at...
    \users\<cur user>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\
This has a set of Media Portal files in it. AppData is normally hidden and so makes it hard to locate these files. So if anyone else is seeing this problem (or other odd problems of picking up "old" settings), you may want to delete the MP files from here as well!

    Hi,
grubi, your missing preload field in db, did you use this installer(not others the last days) when it happened, can't see it even try to update your db?

    Regards
    Roy

    Maybe I missed anything completely.
    What I did was:

    1. Download SVN
    2. Extracted both exe files from rar
    3. Executed svn for mp
    4. Executed svn for tv-server
    5. Selected to uninstall before installation but to keep settings
    6. Entered connection settings and save them
    7. Confirmed to start TV-Server
    8. Getting TV-Config with that ugly error message
    9. Stopped TV-Service
    10. Replaced TV-Library.dll
    11. Launched TVSetup again
    12 Problem still persists.

    grubi.

But this leads to the fact that the database is deleted which is not what I want. I did not find any hint that for installing this svn you have to create a new database as upgrading the schema is not supported by the installer. If this is the case please confirm. BTW database shows version 37 before installing this svn. I also still use the schema name TvLibrary. Could that be the reason the db upgrade fails? I assumed that the schema name to use was grabbed from gentle.conf.

    Thanks
    grubi.

    Hi,
grubi, db version in RC2 it's 38 so there is already one update it's missing in your old one(btw we always say update db on every relese ;) ).
Why not re-install TV Server & let it create a new db & see if the problem goes away, if it does you need a new db if not we have another bug somewhere...

    Regards
    Roy

Ok I will create a new db. I'm always a bit skeptical about channel export/import.
I assumed that svn install will take care of db schema update.

    Hi all,

    installed the svn

went into both configs (all prev settins are still there) even the channels, if I remembered correctly
I always had to reconfig the settings with other svn's. No complaint here :D

turned on the preload the graph and tested TV

"BAM!!" tv loaded ... wow !! thanks for this "FIX" :D:D:D

its been real stable all morning.

    Vff

note: didn t use that fix in earlier post, config loaded fine
