which thumbs do you mean? the thumbs in music overlay? i don't like the visualisation there. the cover behind it makes no sense because you can't see it. i prefer a cover-only overlay.

don't know if you can change the thumbnail size via skinning. is it possible?

i have a lot of questions about skinning and the xml stuff. a skinning how-to or just a list with possible tags and a short description would be great.

and here some new stuff!
the picture module is still under construction. in small-icon-view i setup a larger image-icon and a smaller border. in large-icon-view the icons are now bigger. but i have some problems with the spinner.
made a set of new icons! the music overlay is new too! the visualisation is much smaller now and the overlay has a new set of buttons.

maybe setting loglevel to debug might pinpoint the difference between normal and stuck?
Preferable with as much disabled as possible
also try to see if anything is happening during stuck for the mediaportal process(resource monitor, disk activity, cpu usage, anything)

Since over a year my MP sometimes stucks while showing the welcome screen. It started once a week now it happens every second time...
