I have to disagree with you on the background Mr Mitchell - i love the darker blue and this skin looks fantastic on my TV.

I'm sure a few tweaks needs to be done here and there but this is now my default skin it looks very refreshing indeed.

Here is one issue I have found thus far...

The Object tag needs to be moved down slightly.

yes, it's a known problem. not only in the music screen. i will fix it with the next update!

i will create a "background pack" for those who don't like the current backgrounds!

    Mr.Mitchell
thanks for your comment. feedback (even if you don't like the skin) is always welcome! i think the menu on the left is the best place for it. i will check the skin with different languages and fix the bugs.

    butcherboy,
you know you can set the spacing between the thumbs?
This way you can sqeeze everything a bit making it fit perfectly.

Another one for you to look at...

The text could do with moving more to the right and the background texture image also.

or disable the overlay in news.
Keep overscan in mind, too mutch pushing to the lsides will harm usability on normal tv's. (aka my tv ;) )

MrMario64 is right. moving the text to the right will place the text too much into the safe area. because i can't disable music overlay via the skin you have to disable the overlay.

Err moving it to the right should not be an issue as you can define the text area so it does not impose on the 'safe area' / overscan area.

    Compare it to MCE...

    Butcher3.JPG

As you will see the font is smaller but the text is further to the right of the music overlay.
Two lines of text (MCE) vs three (Butcher) because of the larger font size is not an issue now is it???
All you have to do is ensure the text does not go past the current selection bar above. Again see MCE.

Personally I like the overlay playing in various modules where it has room for it to be visible and this skin certainly has the room.

    dman,
ofcourse he can have a smaller font,
    or move the text.

But you change the look of a skin that way.
SO to preserve the skins look I also offered him the option to turn off the overlay on My News.

Whatever he thinks is the good thing for the look of the skin is his desiccion.
I am just noting out options.

ok, i will make some tests. but a smaller font is a step backward because i increased the font size to make it readable on tv. so i don't want to use a smaller font now only for a music overlay. have to test it when i'm at home.

how can i disable the overlay in xml?

I eventually came across the TwinHan driver CD that was included with the original product. The CD contains numerous drivers for the different TwinHan tuner models, but the drivers are for Win 2K (32-bit only) and Win XP (32-bit and 64-bit). The drivers install directly on Vista, and the drivers can be installed on Win 7 and Win 10...

I've done a few MP1 installs in the past and haven't had a problem, so I didn't expect one today. I just purchased a mini PC with Win11 installed. I downloaded and tried installing Mediaportal 1. I chose single click standard installation with no TV. It started working on things and I wasn't paying terribly close attention, but...
