Also TVServer works in a Workstation 6.5 VM.
The TV Card must be USB to be assigned to the VM. I tried a Pinnacle 330e with success in a Vista x32 Guest over a Vista x64 Host.
Please note the x64 -> x32 driver hop. Great work VMWare ;)

You say it must be USB, do you know if it works with FireWire? Are there any other HyperVisors (Xen, VirtualBox, Windows Server 2008) that supports FW-cards?

Thanks for the info about EVR. With that enabled I am now able to view videos. Before that they wouldnt play but could navigate Mediaportal menus etc.

Did you ever come around trying any of these options regarding FireWire?
I myself was thinking of using VirtualBox. But as you, have not search the forums over at VirtualBox for any of these information.
I have firewire cards and was thinking of getting some PCI ones with dual DVB-S2 inputs and one with dual DVB-T inputs.

So the big question remains, does VirtualBox support pass trugh(like ESXi "http://www.vm-help.com/esx40i/VMDirectPath/USB_Setup.php")?
Would like to run a clean base for virtualbox, that might involve Linux distro for base(would prefer Windows XP/7/2003). If anyone has anything to share on the subject, I would appreciate it alot :D

    :D

Ran into this problem following an otherwise sucessful upgrade from MP 1.34 x64 to MP 1.35 x64 the CEC Remote plugin which I use just to control volume and standby, will no longer put my devices (TV & AVR) to sleep when the HTPC is put in standby. Also when I wake up the HTPC MP closes or crashes (not sure which) as per the example in...

Hi, it looks like the Client's server connection settings got corrupted somehow and were reset, hopefully this is an easy fix. Open MP2-Client, navigate to Settings->General->Connectivity->Home server. In the menu on the left there may be an option Detach from home server, if there is click it and acknowledge the dialog that pops up...

I eventually came across the TwinHan driver CD that was included with the original product. The CD contains numerous drivers for the different TwinHan tuner models, but the drivers are for Win 2K (32-bit only) and Win XP (32-bit and 64-bit). The drivers install directly on Vista, and the drivers can be installed on Win 7 and Win 10...
