Hi All,

I have given up on MS media centres. They do not work! And I am looking at alternatives.

First Question:

Does MediaPortal support the standard XP Media Centre Remote Control?

Yes, MediaPortal supports MCE remote and many others. Even more are supported by the IR Server Suite plugin.

That is one question answered. I only have two others:

1. Does it recognise and use Media Player in-file mp3 ratings?
2. Does it support all types of TV screens?

1. Don't think so. It does, however, collect rating from the Internet. See: MediaPortal/Configuration/Music - MediaPortal Wiki Documentation
- Feel free to read more of the manual
2. Not sure what you mean. Whatever your display card supports (types, resolution, frequency etc.) via driver/controlpanel or 3. party applications PowerStrip, is supported by MediaPortal.
