great work, for some reason my rss feed only shows 1 line at a time.
so 1 story will appear, it will scroll, then the next story will appear and scroll and so on.

how do i get it to show the stories scrolling one after another?

That's most likely because your feed has linebreaks in them. So use a feed without linebreaks

returning the favour here sometimes when twitter is enabled (which I only do to test things) MP crahes when it 1st starts up, the error.log is attached.

It's seems to be moaning about mis-placed xml elements, thought is was the skin file to start with but suspect it is falling over when parsing the messages - someone included some xml like syntax in their message.

I noticed the same crash when testing the plugin with StreamedMP...I want to remove reference to MP-RSSTicker as this plugin is better but more importantly it is maintained.

The crash occured every 2nd time I launched MediaPortal.

I'll make a quick fix for this soon. It's more a workaround but it should then work.

Is it possible for me to hide this time information? It's not very useful for me and now I can't read the full headline...

Another option is to show the [full and without time] headline as a title above the abstract.

I am using XFactor v340.

Did a quick update with that feature, you can turn of the time in the settings dialog. Also i hopefully fixed the twitter issue. Didn't tested that, sorry. Just try yourself Updated first post with new version, have fun

First off: Great plugin!
I'm using cul8ers X-Factor skin (R219) and your mpinfoservice (v0.6) and I've got a small question.
One of the screenshots on the startpage of this thread is showing a menu in which you can switch between your feeds.
Now my question is: is there a designated button on the remote control to popup that menu? (I'm using a standard MCE remote)

I use too MCE remote, and I changed 'More Info" button action conditioned by "window = HOME" to open infoservice window directly . How to proceed:
Copy default MCE REMote.xml from C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\InputDeviceMappings\defaults to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\InputDeviceMappings.
Search for :
<button name="Info" code="15">
and insert this line just after :
<action layer="0" condition="WINDOW" conproperty="0" command="WINDOW" cmdproperty="16001" />
Now, when you will be in Home Window, More Info button will open Infoservice window

For those of us still using the older mediaportal....can we still use the latest infoservice? I ask because your webbrowser plugin specifically says it's for the newer 1.1 version....if so...what is the last version we CAN run and where can it be located?

InfoService 1.2 can be used with Mediaportal 1.0 and Mediaportal 1.1 Beta. There should be no problems. The WebBrowser v0.5 works too with both version. Only the WebBrowser v0.6 (which is not public, only v0.5) does only work with Mediaportal 1.1 Beta.
