When watching recorded TV the skip buttons do nothing. In WMC tere is implemented skip forward 30secs, back 10secs, which are very useful for skipping adverts! Could this be implemented?

Thanks for this - that leaves me puzzled!

When I press the skip buttons I can hear the funny little sound that MP makes in response, which suggests to me that it's receiving the signal and recognises it, but there is no skipping! I'll poke around a little more.

    Hi again cbe37

Try using the arrow keys rather than skip buttons. Up and down do big jumps; left and right do smaller jumps. Press multiple times to increase the size of the jump.

@CyberSimian As I have just posted in the MP2 subforum I will stay with MP1 for the time being. Many thanks for all your very informative and detailed responses. I will take your advice and monitor the Scheduled recordings list for the discrepancies you have described. Cheers.

I uninstalled MP, made sure no sub folders were left n any programmes folders, changed the computer name, rebooted, installed MP and set logs and rebooted and ran TVServer. Didn't do anything in regard to S Loopback adapter. I've been using NextPvr since the problem became insurmountable. Only reason it's not a good long term...

Of course this would be the best option, but I guess it’s not that easy to integrate external players into MP2. It was somewhere discussed, but I could not find the related thread.

Standard Windows behaviour is that if you open a file in File Explorer that has an application associated with it the file will be displayed in that application. This does not happen with MP2. If I try to open a .ts file (or any other video file type associated with Media Portal) rather than displaying the recording it merely opens...

    MP1 MP2 MP2 - V2.4.1 Mouse support for timeshift DE
I guess it's really a rare case, most users use remote controls, then keyboards and last mouse. I tired to design things mouse friendly as much as possible, because it was almost impossible when I joined the team. As former WMC user I quickly decided to create a WMC-like skin which comes as close as possible in terms of appearance and...
