It would be nice if they could put an advisory notice on the front page whenever they add a new operating system update/requirement - there were so many posts regarding confusion about the .net 2 sp2 update requirement, and the same thing is no doubt going to happen again...

Install tool also deletes all of the files in the DEPLOY folder. If you have already downloaded the required files BACK it up before you install.

I don't know what happened, but i installed 1.0.2 upgrade mode over 1.0.1 and some how it failed with tv-server and i couldn't open tv-server configuration or watch tv anymore.
Then i did manual uninstall, reinstall, fullinstall and whole system is mixed up, nice...

Anyone else having issues with the MP 1.0.2 making MP 'slow'. For example, it:

a) takes about 4 times longer to start up
b) many menu changes seem to pause for around 10 seconds (eg switching between Home Screen menu items and the top menu)
c) every time i click on anything in MP Configuration, it takes about 10 seconds to come back and do something

Might do a clean install *sigh*

My upgrade from 1.0.1 to 1.0.2 was an absolute dream..... The new installer worked nicely. I had no issues, all my db's are intact, after starting TV service and checking my tuners, I was able to add my analog video inputs which could not be added with 1.0.1 (I didn't have any problems with my digital tuners)

The text scroll speed seems to have been adjusted, but could be a bit slower.

btw. MP seems to be quite responsive at this point, I didn't notice any appreciable increase in delay times when switching screens or functions. Channel changing only was a second or so of delay.

Hey Griffo I have had this problem before, it is one of the plug-ins from what I remeber. Will need updating... Just can't recall for the life of me which one.. Will get back to you soon. Thanks

Did you start TVServer Config to ensure the database password is enterred?

You can adjust from within MediaPortal.
Go to Settings, Screen setup, Scroll speed.

I will check... I had thought that my minimum setting values would remain the same.

checked.... my min settings were still there... both horizontal and vertical set to 1. My Wife still has to watch the scrolling text box several times to catch everything... and lets me know about it

if it could be slowed down just a bit more? plz?
