    Hi folks,
since some time the development of this plugin was taken over by mts.
You may follow the new discussion beginning at post #222 on page 23 ;)
In the meantime all is working (nearly) fine, you may make/receive calls with and without video :D

To avoid any confusion, I edited this first post, so interested users may directly start with downloading the attached ZIP, install it and experiment with it.

Pls. note: This plugins does only work when you first start your Skype installation on your HTPC BEFORE starting MP and using Skype4MP ;)

The attached ZIP contains all necessary files in their respective directories including skin files for DefaultWide, DefaultWide HD, PureVisionHD 1080 and StreamedMP ;)

Have fun testing, and keep in mind it´s still under development (that includes possible changes in the delivered skin/language files) ;)

    Best regards!

What is the current status on this plugin?
I have tried it on my setup (Win 10, MP 1.13 and Skype 7.18) and can use it to receive calls while playing TV, very usefull in itself, but it does not work when playing anything via Online Videos and I cannot make calls at all. Potentially it looks really promising and I note that is included (supported???) with the latest Default Wide HD skin!

Seems the line is then busy and you can´t make a further connection ;)
Possible I guess but I do't think so:unsure:, because I do get the popup asking me if I want to accept the call but nothing happens when I say yes and I do not think it is confined to OV, i.e. maybe only working with TV?. Also as mentioned, though perhaps not clearly, calling out does not work at all even when just selecting the Skype4MP plugin from the home menu and nothing else in MP is going on, I get to Skype contacts sceen but nothing happens when I select one to call. N.B. Skype is working OK from the desktop.
I understand that this plugin is not a finished artical, hence my question on its status but I would like to know if others have bits working that should be working for me, please let me know if your experience is different/same;).

AFAIK this plugin only works if Skype itself is up and running - did you test it that way? Because here all works so far when Skype is running ;)

Yes, when MP starts the plugin also starts Skype and logs in then closes but does not quit it (icon showing on the taskbar), I guess this is a function of the MPFocusSetter.exe that was included in the download? I have also tried manually starting Skype from the desktop first before MP with same results. I have also tried with the Skype setting "Keep on Taskbar when logged on" both enabled and disabled but again regardless still I cannot call out, it allows me to select an online contact then a popup screen asks if I want a call or video call but no matter what I select it returns to the contact screen without apparently doing anything, (no ringing, nothing on the device called.:(
I am happy with the receive call with TV running functionality if nothing else but it would be nice to get more working so any suggestions are most welcome.

I meant use MP client to try to spot how it's requesting streams for specific channels and then try to do the same with VLC. TV Server development looks dead so I'm afraid you're going to have to figure that out by yourself if it's even possible.

I don't know about MP2 but as you said you tried MP1 too, how is the MP music config ? MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback. If you you don't have multichannel music you can choose WASAPI as the output and set the number of speakers to stereo. I have...
