sort "by date" - new feature request! (1 Viewer)

If anyone else is interested in having MP sorting by RELEASE date rather than the date labeled in Windows, please consider starring the following issue:

Issue 551 - moving-pictures - Support a full release date rather than just year - Project Hosting on Google Code

Basically, I am coming from the background that I add both new movies and also older movies I have missed over the years into my collection and want them to be sorted by release date. This is not possible under the current system (although categories almost makes it possible) unless you modify the date with a third party program manually.
