SUGGESTION BOX: Additions for the Rename database system (1 Viewer)

I hope you can see my point and could include the changes.

Some series, no matter what I do, I will always dissapoint somebody.

But this is what the "Rename dBase IMDb+ Scraper (Custom).xml" is for. Add those entries to that yourself (just copy and paste it with notepad), and refresh the movies inside MovPic GUI (or MovPic config), and they will adjust to however you prefer them to be.

I found two more movies that are not sorted correctly because the way IMDB has them this.

<rename id="tt0270846" title="Baby Geniuses 2: Superbabies" />

The reason is "Baby Geniuses 2" is listed as "Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2" on IMDB.

All done, v1.7.6 contains them. You can use "IMDb+ Info..." in hidden menu to verify, and you can see all the changes at:

Are you importing *.mkv files or full bluray folderstructures? I tend to get stuff like the Skyfall and The Avengers results that you have when I use full bluray folder structures. The reason is that when you use the folder structures it doesn't search for the foldername, I think it searches for one of the strings within the "The Avengers (2012)\BDMV\META\DL\bdmt_eng.xml file.

For Avengers that string is "Marvel's The Avengers - Blu-ray™" for me at least.

Almost sure that this was all fixed already. It can happen however that when you upgraded MovPic, that IMDb+ stoped updating due to corruption in the database. What version does IMDb+ plugin report for the IMDb+ scraper-script? Please verify via "IMDb+ Info...", or check via MovPic config to see what version of IMDb+ is listed under manage scraper-script window.

Otherwise you will have to help me with scraper-script debug enabled log files, and also enable the new IMDb+ HTML debug source option, so I can see exactly what is going wrong for you. With Amazon/IMDb giving you a different HTML code result then me on a USA-IP, it has become impossible for me to debug these type of problems otherwise.

@zpower, lets focus on just one movie. The problem between them is more then likely the same.

For me to actually be able to debug/fix it, you have to get me better log files that contain the info I need.

1. Enable debug verbosity mode inside MediaPortal (open mediaportal config -> 'General' -> Log verbosity drop down change to 'Debug')
2. Start button/screen -> All Programs -> Team MediaPortal -> "User Files" shortcut -> "IMDb+" folder -> edit "Options IMDb+ Scraper.xml" file with notepad and add:

3. Enable MovPic scraper-debug mode (open MovPic config -> 'Importer Settings' tab -> 'Manually manage movie data sources' -> click the "Movie Details Data Sources" button -> gear icon for more options -> Select 'Enable Debug mode', so that little green bug appears.

And then reimport "The Avengers" and give me the super large movingpictures.log (if it is not 1MB or close to it, then you did something wrong), zip up the log and attach it in here, be sure to disable MocPic scraper-debug mode once you did this test if you use system normally.
