Swedish/Foreign titles still used when IMDb+ is configured to use English ones (1 Viewer)

The movie is identified as Titta han snackar! as "Se han snakker" which is swedish title with norwegian in parenthesis.

When trying to retreive data import crashes

If a registry hack would solve my problem i'm all for it! I guess it involves changing the language the browser is setting?
Confirmed using 4.5.3 as under Data sources.

@maximm so it still doesn't work for you with v4.5.3? Because it seems to work fine again for @vpupkin.

It is indeed still an issue inside search node, because my "convert to English titles" IMDb+ system does not kick in until details node. And yes, modifying the HTTP Language that MovPic uses to 'fetch' the data from imdb.com would fix it. Yours is using "sv" and then the titles from IMDb are all in Swedish (actually been able to reproduce that myself inside Internet Explorer). I did not have time yet to confirm if MovPic uses the same registry setting though, but since MePo/MovPic is .NET framework based, more then likely it relies on trident rendering engine to do HTTP scraping (same one Internet Explorer uses).

And those screenshots are nice, but for me to really fix things I would need to see movingpictures.log files. They show the exact same info as your screenshot, but add the extra info I need to actually fix it. The default "info" log mode verbosity is not enough to fix it normally, so I've modified IMDb+ to add additional logging myself via "######" entries. To see more on what MovPic is doing behind the scene and for me to find out where it goes wrong "debug" log mode verbosity (configured inside MePo config) is more towards what I need. If the problem turns out to be in the regular expression code (as it was to fix the bugs I did with v4.5.3), then I might need "scraper debug mode" enabled inside MovPic as well, but this is last resort and requires special care during importing or the log files are still useless to me (ensure all other background tasks are done and then import only *one* movie, or adjust movpic advanced settings to 1 thread).

If I find some idle time during work today I will look into testing my HTTP Language registry adjustment, to see if it impacts MovPic scraping system. If I'm able to make it fail for me by switching to "sv" language, then we should be able to make it work for you by switching to "en".

Nope, that just confirms it goes wrong for you, but we already knew that.

Need MovPic scraper-debug logs. It's an extra setting, explained at: http://code.google.com/p/imdbplus/wiki/WikiInstallScraper

Please zip up the entire movingpictures.log file and attach it in a reply, doing the same single-step as you did so the log file isn't filled with confusing data (it is best to wait a while for MovPic to finish all its background tasks before you do the re-import of "The Shootist" movie).

At the same time you could look at the registry value for the language of "Internet Explorer", and if that indeed shows "sv", you could change that to see if that solves it for you. I still like to fix it inside IMDb+ so it will work without applying such drastic measures, but it might also end up to be the only solution.

I tried changing the language in IE, but that made no difference for me. Current User/Software/MS/IE/International/AcceptLanguage set to en-GB through IE settings.

Enablding the script debug mode does nothing for me. MovPic says its active, but no additional info is logged. Tried restarting all components.

If the little green bug icon shows, but the log file does not become super huge (after re-importing the test movie), then something really weird is going on.

I'm working on a solution via 3 different approaches.

1. MovPic developer will add HTTP Language support to the <retrieve> node -- ticket = http://code.google.com/p/moving-pictures/issues/detail?id=1115 (it has already been accepted, so not sure if additional 'stars' are needed, but it will allow you to keep auto-informed on it)
2. I've got all the details and scraper-debug log files I need from @HomeY to figure out a workaround if possible
3. Will setup a proxy script on my server to ensure imdb.com delivers English data for IMDb+ to use

All 3 will fix it, with #1 being a waiting game, and #2 I'm gonna work on in my free time when I can and #3 I got planned for this weekend if all fails.
