TOU.TV doesn't works (8 Viewers)

Thank you for your replies,

I first started MediaPortal in normal mode just to confirm that this wasn't a temporary problem. After less than 10 seconds, the TV program I had selected started to freeze.

I then started MediaPortal in debug mode (selecting the second option, which includes plugins) but did NOT experience the problem! I selected 2 different episodes from 2 different series and everything went smoothly!

Any ideas?

Because you don't have problem, there is nothing in your logs. If you experience problems again, just pack existing logs and attach.

Since I wasn't able to reproduce this bug in Debug Mode, I exported current logs (3rd option) after experiencing lags in Normal Mode.

It is helpful, but I'm not sure what is causing your problem. But I don't think that it's related to lowering verbosity of MP. From logs it's clear that several things takes much longer, but download speed is similar. Do you have some antivirus or firewall solution? If yes, is MediaPortal process excluded from checking? If you have MS Security Essentials, this post can help you with appropriate setting.

With that fix applied to Windows 8 Windows Defender, I was able to watch a 1 hour show without any interuption!

While testing XBMC, I tried their Tou.TV plugin. It was last updated this december and it works very well, and it uses a higher quality source than this plugin. It should be easy to adapt, it's a python script using regexes to retrieve the RSP mp4 feeds for higher quality than the flash source...

the playVideo function builds the URL (line 292).

Does not look like RTSP URLs are supported on OnlineVideos at the moment.
