My provider is called TDC (Tele Denmark Communications).

I have my information from another program called VDR, where autotuning works...

I have the channel-information, but I am unable to make it work when I input a channel manually. MP just dies and I have to kill it.

Any help is appreciated.

/Peter

If you want to setup a working HTPC i suggest that you install the 0.1.3.
the 0.2RC1 is far away from stable. and MyTV wont change much in the next weeks because the developers want to finish the new TS-Engine first before they add it again to the cvs. thats why they use dvr-ms again in the cvs.

    • uninstall 0.2RC1 (or if you have a driveimage restore it)
    • restart
    • install BDA Drivers 1.2.2.0 for your Twinhan (0.1.3 needs this version of the BDA Drivers)
    • restart
    • install 0.1.3
    • launch config
    • skip all steps of the config wizzard
    • launch scoops test tool and clear all logs
    • launch the configuration programm
    • add your TV Card and add a channel
    • launch media portal and try if the channel is working
    • if it is not working please attach the logfiles

    good luck!!!!!!

    Thanks for your time.
I have tried what you told me but when I launch "scoops test tool" I get an error: "Invalid MadiaPortal directory specified: C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal".
I have checked and MP 0.1.3 is installed in this folder.

Maybe it only works with 0.2RC1?

    /Peter

no. it is working with all versions of media portal.
your problem can have 3 reasons:
    1. Media Portal is not installed
    2. the registry entry is invalid or missing.
    3. the MediaPortal.xml file is missing

have you completed the configuration wizzard before you have launched the testtool? that is necessary to create the MediaPortal.xml

    edit:
:sorry: i have just seen that i had an error in the procedure i have posted before.
you have to complete the config wizzard befor you launch the testtool

I didn't run the configuration wizzard. I will test tonight.
The test tool verifies the validity of the MediaPortal installation directory by searching for a "MediaPortal.exe" and a "MediaPortal.xml" file in that directory. So, I guess you haven't run either the setup or the setup wizard which creates the configuration file. So, infinityloop is right! ;)

Could you please verify this and report this back to us?

    Thanks,
    Michel

Are thier not like 8 params you have to enter on each TV-Channel for DVB-C?
Up to 15 channels one the same Freq. so you have to have several Pids for audio, video, text,EPG?

I nice tool for getting all info? Anybody how can recommend any software that shows that much info?

TwinhanDTV givs you Freq,Modulation,Symbolrate,Video Pid,Audio Pid and channel number

I did run the "MediaPortal setup wizard" and after that the "Test tool" worked.
    So far so good...

I tried auto tune with a modifyed "dvbc Symbolrate 6875.dvbc" (danish frequencies) and it didn't find any channels. :(

I tried to input a channel manual as the DR1_43.jpg shows.
I didn't fill in the InnerFEC, Modulation, PMT pid, Audio Pid1, Audio Pid1, Audio Pid3 or AC3 Pid, because I didn't know what to write.

I started MP and tried to watch the channel and MP didn't "lockup", but I only got a black screen. :(

Ready for a new suggestion :D

    /Peter

Actually I solved this myself. I did have the correct driver (it was the only one which would work). Perhaps... Only way to confirm would be for me to invest in a different USB DVB-S2 tuner (like the Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-S2), which I might do if the issue persists.

Thank you for pointing out that my analysis may be less than accurate. :p Although the change to TV channel 71 may not also have been applied to the independent radio channels (different MUXes), the logs that I prepared for one of the development team does show a difference between channel 704 ("BBC Radio 4") and channel 731...
