kkendall,

can you tell me on what frequency you found een and canvas? I'll try a manual scan as well. the network ID issues might have something to do with the fact that we are on Rekam in stead of Caiway's own cable. I think Gouda is the same as Ouderkerk a/d IJssel

edit:

acoording to the site http://www.atoomnet.net/dvb-c-nl-caiw.php (many thanx for that link Lbr-Lion!) if it is available, it should be on 578000. I will try that frequency.

edit: Nope 578000 does not provide me with a signal even. Might be the fact that rekam might be using that frequency.

Caiway is saying Een and Ketnet/Canvas HD are available in Gouda...but nobody can find them.
I asked on what frequency they can be found, but they refuse to give it!
They say it's not possible to scan for individual channels (nonsense offcourse)...but friends with htpc's, Humax DVB-C HD receivers or DVB-C supported TV's can't receive them either so I guess Caiway is not really telling the truth to their customers, I don't know what else to make of it...

I am having troubles here in Aalsmeer with Caiway in MP also. I always do a scan and after that I filled in a frequency of 554000 Khz, modulation 64QAM and a Symbol rate of 6900 and perform a manual scan. MP found all missing channels this time!

That is because some frequencies are missing in the standard Caiway-file installed by MediaPortal to scan for channels. If you scan the above frequency of the transponderlist you can find those missing channel frequencies. So that is a Mediaportal thing, not Caiway. :)

I'm not sure what area code Aalsmeer has.
If it's not the area of CAIW Midden Holland then yes, you can find all channels. If Aalsmeer is in the area of CAIW Midden Holland I bet you can't find Één HD and Ketnet/Canvas HD.

I'm not really into this kind of information... I have all channels at the moment (also ketnetHD and CanvasHD) due to my manual scan (which info I found in this forum in a post from myself!).

Do you live in the Caiw Midden Holland area (network ID)? If so, what are the frequencies you have for the 2 belgian channels Één HD and Ketnet/Canvas HD?
Where can I find the post you're referring to?
    :D

:( It's not that I don't know my networkID, I want to know how to to receive Één HD and Ketnet/Canvas HD.

As you can see, this list is old and missing all the new HD channels, so the channels Één HD and Ketnet/Canvas HD are also missing.
    thanks for the effort though.

Ok, thanks much. I will look into the instructions above. For the moment, I turned off the "Automatic channel logo update" in Settings (which somehow I had missed, I think because it wasn't an option previously), and the deleted everything in the Flat-default folder and populated it with my own logos. Works, so far.

Thanks... So annoying. I didn't notice it had stopped working and missed some recordings. The version number still seems to be 1.7.2. Hard to tell that the file has been updated. Sigh. I stream a lot of it now anyway. Good question on mc2xml.exe & schedulesdirect. I donated many, many moons ago for schedulesdirect support. I...

Update: Problem solved! The electronic program guides (tvguide.xml) have been successfully transferred to MediaPortal. The issue stemmed from the corruption of one or both of the mc2xml.dat and/or mc2xml.exe files, for an unknown reason. Consequently, even though the tvguide.xml file appeared to be updated, its content kept being an...

I used to use the grabber but a few years back it disappeared on FreeSat DVBS. That is when I changed to EPG Collector. The extra benefit is that it collects from the Sky platform so it will give EPG for all the FreeSat channels plus the unencrypted movie channels on the Sky platform. It also allows me to pick the channels dedicated...

In the UK, the EPG transmitted in the DVB-T datastream allows each programme to have two genres -- a primary genre, and a secondary genre (i.e. a subgenre). The primary genre might be something like Film (or Movie in the USA). The secondary genre for Film might be something like: Action, Comedy, Crime, Fantasy, Romance, Science...
